Panhandle Recycling- 1994-2002
Best Recycling began with a simple recycling operation in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This facility was purchased from the Weyerhauser Corporation in the summer of 1994. The operation named Panhandle Recycling took curbside recycling deliveries from the City of Coeur d'Alene as well as commercial drop off materials from contractors and the general public. This operation primarily recycled newsprint, cardboard, high grade paper, metals, plastics and glass.

BEST Recycling (Canada) Ltd. was established in British Columbia, Canada in October of 1997, as a result of its acquisition of Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd’s recycling business and plant in New Westminster, B.C.

Services
The plant provides recycling containers, equipment, and collection service in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area. It also provides a convenient drop-off area for cardboard, newspaper, and mixed paper for waste haulers, recyclers, and the public. BEST Recycling buys back recyclables based on the prevailing fair market value of materials. Other services include:
- contract processing and marketing of municipal recyclables
- confidential document destruction and shredding
- obsolete/expired products destruction and recycling
Best Recycling (Bellingham, WA)
This operation started as a small but niche processing center which processed, baled and marketed cardboard, paper and aluminum. Our services here have expanded to include most of our unique programs. Today we service or have serviced such diverse clients as the US Antarctic program, Emerald Kalama Chemical, Philip Services Corporation, Clean Harbors environmental, General Growth Managment company, Kodak and the City of Bellingham, WA. This facility serviced the entire city of Charleston West Virgina. We responsible for collecting all recyclables both curbside and commercial. We operated a fleet of trucks that serviced all Kanawha county, West Virgina. This Facility was purchased from the Weyerhaeuser corporation and eventually sold to Fibres Interntational Corporation.
